Open Scene is a project designed with the intent of being out of it's element. By placing the structure, a pristine white door, in an otherwise empty courtyard, it serves to formalize the space, adding restrictions to an environment where there would otherwise be none. Strangers would pass through the door, compelled by the etiquette of a room, despite being free to go around it. When the door eventually fell to the wind, onlookers even went out of their way to pick it back up.
